Our purpose

Research should run on merit, not geography.

Salura was founded by a physician who watched brilliant clinical questions die for lack of methodological mentorship, time, and tooling.

Why Salura exists

The research lifecycle in medicine is fragmented and slow. Awareness lives in ten databases. Novelty checking is guesswork. Study-design errors get discovered by Reviewer 2, months too late. Journal selection is folklore. And in most of the world, there is no senior methodologist down the hall to ask.

The result is measurable: duplicated studies, underpowered trials, desk rejections — and an enormous amount of clinical insight that never becomes evidence because the path from idea to publication is simply too hard without institutional privilege.

Salura compresses that path. Live surveillance across verified databases. Novelty validation before commitment. Real power calculations and reporting checklists. Venue intelligence from actual publication patterns. A writing studio that knows IMRaD. And an agent team that behaves like an always-available mentor — one structurally incapable of inventing a citation.

Our principles

  • Evidence first, always. Every record on screen comes from a verified source, labeled with its true origin.
  • Augment, never replace. AI output is labeled, sourced and editable. The researcher decides; Salura advises.
  • Equity by architecture. The core is free, runs in any browser, needs no institutional license. A student in Irbid gets the same instrument as a professor in Boston.
  • Privacy by default. Local-first storage, bring-your-own-key AI, and no training on your research. Ever.

The symbol

Our mark is the Vital Loop — a single continuous stroke that closes on itself, its apex rising into a heartbeat. It is the research cycle and the pulse of medicine drawn as one line: every answered question feeds the next, and the work always returns to the patient.

Where we’re going

Today: the complete idea-to-manuscript workspace. Next: scheduled surveillance digests, citation networks, team workspaces, protocol builders, and institutional analytics. The destination is a world where the quality of your question, not your postcode, decides whether you get to contribute to medicine.
